Bridging Tibetan Traditions and Global Healing

In my late grandfather's retreat room, surrounded by remnants of his devotion, his presence lingers like a gentle breeze caressing my soul. The prayer wheel, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate designs, echoes his unwavering faith as it spins tirelessly, releasing countless mantras into the air. Though physically gone, his spirit resides in the ethereal realm of Buddha Amitabha, basking in the radiance of enlightenment. Yet, his essence subtly remains, intertwining with the very fabric of this sacred space, comforting and guiding me along my own spiritual journey.

Journey of a Tibetan Mantra Practioner

Born into a family of Ngakpas in the culturally rich Amdo region of Tibet, my life has been steeped in the practices of mantra and meditation from a young age. Growing up in a diverse community in Rebgong, I was immersed in an environment where spiritual practices were a daily ritual.

My journey in traditional healing began with studies in Tibetan medicine in Amdo, after which I furthered my expertise by working for Sorig Khang Estonia (EATTM) and studying under Dr. Nida Chenatsang, a renowned Tibetan physician and lineage holder of the Yuthok Nyingthig - the spiritual healing tradition of Tibetan Medicine.

From Melodies to Mantras: Sharing Tibetan Healing Arts Across Continents

Combining my passion for singing with my knowledge of Tibetan medicine, I've sought to create healing concerts that nurture the body, speech, and mind. I've been blessed to collaborate with musicians worldwide, producing five albums of Tibetan Healing Mantras and Prayers, and it's been an honor to share my work in over 30 countries through concerts, lectures, and courses.

I also serve as an international teacher and guide for Sorig Khang International and as the lead organizer of SKY Estonia. Our team is committed to establishing a Tibetan Medicine Healing & Education Centre in Estonia to bring this ancient wisdom to the Baltic states and Finland, focusing on learning, healing, and cultural exchange.

Guided by masters

I am deeply grateful for the guidance of esteemed teachers throughout my journey. My understanding of Tibetan medicine and spiritual practices has been shaped by the wisdom of various masters, especially in the Yuthok Nyingthig lineage, under the guidance of revered figures in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

  • Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, a renowned traditional Tibetan physician and Yuthok Nyingthig lineage holder, was born in Amdo, Tibet.

He began his medical studies locally, later attending Lhasa Tibetan Medical University, graduating in 1996 after training at hospitals in Lhasa and Lhoka. In addition to his medical studies, Dr. Nida extensively trained in Vajrayana, receiving teachings across Tibetan Buddhist schools, particularly in the Longchen Nyingthig and Dudjom Tersar lineages.

His mastery of the Yuthok Nyingthig, the spiritual tradition of Tibetan Medicine, was honed under esteemed teachers and he was chosen to continue this lineage by Jamyang Rinpoche of the Rebkong ngakpa/ma tradition.

  • Dr. Machik is a senior doctor and professor of Sowa Rigpa in Amdo, Northeastern Tibet. He began studying Sowa Rigpa in 1983 with one of the most prominent physicians - Dr. Jigme la.

He then went to the Medical University in Lhasa in 1989 for deeper studies. After completing the 5 years training in the Tibetan medical college, Dr. Machik returned to work as a doctor in Malho hospital in Amdo, where he practiced and taught for over 30 years.

His medical lineage is based on the Chagpori medical school, incorporating both of the historical Zur and Jang traditions, yet focusing on the former. Clinically, his specialty is in the treatment of rheumatism and arthritic conditions.
